A peek behind the scenes of the KidsWantU App.

We’ve been staying quiet, steadily working on getting the KidsWantU App into the hands of Australian parents and carers. Despite the challenges of past supplier technical fails, a pandemic, and an extreme weather event, we’re back on track!

Our KidsWantU team, supporters and providers are all in sync with our goal to bring people together through fun and play. As you can see from this photoshoot, it’s working!

It takes a team

Our tech crew at Holospace are finalising a smooth, easy-to-use KidsWantU App. We’ve been guided on quality learning-based activity ideas by local teacher and global performing artist, Sophie Salvesani. Gerard’s team at Fractal has influenced our strategic planning. Kate from Kate Perry Projects helped us better understand our customers.

Thank you Ipswich Council

We don’t (yet) have the internal resources to produce professional-quality imagery of parents and carers using the KidsWantU App with the children in their life. So, we’re grateful to Ipswich City Council for granting us $1,000 within our region’s Small Business Resilience and Growth Program ‘Go Digital’ stream to increase our local content and online presence.

These funds were targeted to supporting businesses in Ipswich and we put them towards bringing a new helper into KidsWantU, through an exciting storytelling project with Tracy from Ipswich-based Ruby + Raddish.

In April, to capture some more outside activities and game ideas to be included in the KidsWantU App, we did a photoshoot in the lovely green surrounds of Queens Park in Ipswich. Surveyed in 1842, Queens Park was the first park developed in Queensland!

Last-minute organising before the fun starts!                                                           ‘American Gothic’ inspired?

You’ll see more of our fantastic family models and the activities from this fun day in the coming weeks and months. Meanwhile, we thought we’d share some behind the scene grabs of our KidsWantU team Anne-Marie, Emily and Nathan in “managing photoshoot fun mode”.
